Kristen Stewart Got Whiplash From Emotional 'New Moon' Scenes

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Anyone who's read the second novel in Stephanie Meyer's wildly popular "Twilight" saga knows it is the most emotionally wrought book in the series (thanks, Edward). So it's no surprise "New Moon" leading lady Kristen Stewart got a little worked up filming the sequel, famously telling Entertainment Weekly that she sat in her car sobbing before her breakup scene with Robert Pattinson. When we caught up with Kristen recently at a Beverly Hills press junket, she dished even more about her weighty role, including why it was so much harder than "Twilight."

"The first movie was all about thrusting yourself into something and being impulsive," Kristen explained. "It was all about discovery and first love and abandon. And so that's like a little bit more thoughtless. I went to work. It was a more natural approach.

"'New Moon' was more labor-intensive," she admitted. "Because everything that we established in the first movie, we basically come in and say that [Bella] was just wrong. And so, that's how I start off the movie. As 'New Moon' begins, she knows that she's going to get broken up with, so it's this natural progression of seeing a girl who you saw being so confident in herself to something so daring and new to her."

Combining heart-wrenching scenes with a scattered shooting schedule left Kristen with a case of, well, whiplash. "It was hard to do, because I had to go back and forth from being pulled out of that deep depression," Kristen said. "Within a day, I'd have to go back and forth from doing a scene with and without Jacob. So I would have to be dead, zombie Bella who's just absolutely destroyed, to waking up again."

Twilight: “Breaking Dawn” might not get made

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies In a recent interview with Blast and other reporters, “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz revealed that there are no current plans to film the final chapter in the “Twilight” saga, “Breaking Dawn.”

The first three films have been made, but Lutz expressed the fear that if “New Moon” doesn’t get enough love from the fans, “Breaking Dawn” might never get made, leaving the saga permanently unfinished.

“We aren’t filming it,” Lutz said when asked about the progress on “Breaking Dawn.”

“It’s a real bummer,” he said, “because when we did ‘Twilight,’ we always hoped to continue on with the book series. Like you saw with ‘Aragon’ –- the fans didn’t support it enough, so they didn’t make the sequel, which would suck.”

Some may find it hard to believe the the cultural phenomenon that is “Twilight” wouldn’t have enough fan power to propel the series to completion. But with no word from the studio and no actors under contract, “Breaking Dawn” falling through could become a real possibility.

“There’s no word on ‘Breaking Dawn.’ They said goodbye to all the crew in Vancouver,” Lutz said. “Like, a real goodbye.”

The actors of “Twilight” were under contract for the first three films in the saga. But with “New Moon,” the cast expanded, enveloping several big-name actors, including Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning. Suddenly, due to the popularity of the series, the actors of “Twilight” have rapidly filling schedules and less time to wait on studio decisions.

“Between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’ I did three films,” Lutz said. “Us actors are having offers for tons of stuff now. To get the…actors that are a part of this –- the Volturi, the wolves, the Cullens — that’s a lot of actors to just say, months before we shoot, ‘Hey, can you guys come do this movie?’ Because we don’t have contracts for it. So nothing’s telling us, you know, ‘Hold these dates.’ And there’s only a small time frame that we could shoot in…because of weather. So I hope they make their mind (up) after ‘New Moon’ comes out.”

In the end, Lutz said that it’s all up to the fans.

“We all fell in love with our characters,” he said, “all hoping that you know, we could continue on…it really matters for the fans, if they come out and support ‘New Moon.’ Because we all want to finish this baby. It’s such a part of us, and it would just seem empty not to finish the last chapter.”

New Moon Movie Updates: Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner Share

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Anticipation is high as the New Moon movie (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) release is only one week away and opens on November 20. Stars are talking and the actors involved in the love triangle for the film, Kristen Stewart and rumored real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson, along with teen sensation Taylor Lautner share a bit of their thoughts on fame and the upcoming blockbuster movie.

Robert Pattinson has threatened to quit acting if he couldn't escape the media pressure. The 23-year-old can no longer go out without hordes of fans and paparazzi following him and he said he hopes to one day figure out how to escape it.

He said to OK.co.uk: "If I'm still stuck in a hotel room in 10 years time and I haven't figured out another way to deal with it, then I would be annoyed."

***

More thoughts from K Stew...Kristen Stewart has said that she would make Bella a vampire if she was given the choice. The 19-year-old plays the role of Bella Swan in the vampire movie series and said that if the decision of Bella's immortality was down to her, she would know what to do.

Talking after the recent fan party in London for New Moon, she said: "I'd make her a vampire." She also gave her vote on Team Edward or Team Jacob and said: "I'd make [Bella] pick Jacob for sure." Explaining her decision, she said: "Objectively, from the outside, she should be with Jacob? She's best friends with him, he's warm, it's easy, there's no problems there."

***

Check out that chest...New Moon star Taylor Lautner said he ate every two hours to bulk up for the new movie. The 17-year-old lad has many shirtless scenes in the new flick, where he plays the werewolf Jacob Black, and he revealed it wasn't without a lot of work.

He said to UK newspaper Daily Record: "I was in the gym five days a week, because it's important to get your recovery time. "I was trying to put on weight and if I was in the gym too much, I'd be burning the calories I'm trying to take in."

'New Moon', New Wolf

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies You may not have heard of Canadian actor Bronson Pelletier yet but you certainly will after The Twilight Saga: New Moon opens this week. Pelletier plays Jared, one of five werewolves that make up the 'Wolf Pack' in the much anticipated sequel to the 2008 film Twilight. In person he's a high energy, down-to-earth, twenty-something.

"Each character I portray I like to bring a little of myself to. I brought my jokester side to Jared, so he's a little bit of a jokester but a little more mature than the other wolves," he explains during a promotional trip to Toronto.

Jared is the second person to change into a wolf and is the right-hand to Sam Uley, the leader of the 'Wolf Pack'. Fans of the Twilight series seem to approve of Pelletier in the role and he already has a fan club on the social networking site Twitter. He got the career-making role the old fashioned way by auditioning and didn't know much about Twilight beforehand.

"I watched the movie and read the books after I got the role. I'm kind of glad it happened that way because I probably would have been more nervous in the audition," he admits.

Pelletier had no clue how strong the fan base surrounding the series was going in and said he was blown away by it. He credits author Stephenie Meyer for doing such a good job getting the cult-like following for the books even before the movies were made. He has a recent story about a screening of New Moon in Los Angeles where five thousand "Twihards" showed up.

"They were screaming at the top of their lungs," he tells me. "I threw my hat which I got for $15 at Target out into the crowd and people were fighting for it. It felt so surreal."

Before New Moon, Pelletier only worked in television and is best known for the Canadian teenage drama Renegadepress.com. Was making a film much different than working in television, I inquired.

"With film it's hurry up and wait and with television it's hurry up, hurry up, hurry up! You have to do 10 scenes a day and bang them off...time is money. Film is so chill and slack and you get to put more of your creativity into it," he states.

Playing a werewolf was something he wanted to do since seeing the film Underworld. He denies ever going through a werewolf phase but admits he's had weird dreams about them. How did it feel to finally play one then?

"It was great," he says. "We don't get to do the battle scenes like everyone else because it's CGI but just reading the script and knowing these wolves are us is amazing...I love it," he adds.

Pelletier shares some interesting tidbits on the process of being turned into a wolf on screen.

"We get cyber scanned, which is basically a huge Xerox of every angle and inch of us so when we change into the wolves it has that full effect. Each wolf has [the actors'] own individual eyes on them and that is pretty cool," he shares.

His biggest acting influences are Benicio Del Toro, Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp. He also has a great love of music but denies that punk rock, which is listed on his IMDb profile, is one of his favourites.

"That's a lie," he blurts out when I ask him. "It also says I'm a fancy dancer and I don't know how to dance. I'm a fan of some punk rock, I guess, but I love rap. A Tribe Called Quest, Jedi Mind Tricks...the good rap. Not the stuff that talks about drugs and is all negative."

His character Jared returns in Eclipse, the third Twilight film, in 2010. Pelletier wrapped shooting a few months ago and says he has a lot more screen time than in New Moon and is very happy with how it turned out. I'm sure his star power will only increase by the time it opens too.

TMR Movie Review A First Look At Twilight: New Moon

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies “Twilight: New Moon” is a vampire movie with a current twist. Nice vampires. When Nosferatu (the first movie based on Bram Stoker’s novel) was released they didn’t try to hide the fact that vampires were evil, blood thirsty mass murderers. Let’s keep in mind that Vampires are like pitbulls… they will play with you but sooner or later you are going to get bit.

Unless that pitbull is Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson. You see Edward Cullen is a vegan vampire. Let me say that again: Edward Cullen is a vegan vampire. Thank God Béla Lugosi is dead because he would die laughing at the concept of a vegan vampire. The movie studio wants to make a bad boy but let’s not make him too bad. Creating a vegan vampire isn’t an original idea, it is a stupid one. The whole teenage vampire gadget that the film is built around is one of the most beat down film gadgets on the history of Hollywood.

Let’s go back to 1936 when “Dracula’s Daughter” the sequel to Béla Lugosi’s “Dracula” was released. “Dracula’s Daughter” was a great film and had moderate success so in 1943 the studios released the blockbuster “Son of Dracula”. This was followed by a crapload of bad B horror films titled “I was a Teenaged Something or Other”.

The reason teens are drawn into these pseudo-watered down horror movies and have been for years is that they are powerless. Let me clarify this comment. Teens think they are grown ups, but even at 16 or 17 they don’t realize that they are viewed as snot nosed kids. They cant vote and can’t purchase liquor. At 17 they can’t even enter into a contract.

At 18 or 19 there are a few more powers bestowed upon teens but lets face it, they are not considered adults. The can leave home to get an apartment and a job, but still, they can’t by a can of beer.

In the world of the teen vampire the teens have the power. They are forever young and good looking. They can stay out past dark, they have to, they are vampires. They are physically more powerful and typically smarter than the adults in the movies. Just as they are in the Twilight series or as I call it Harry Potter Two.

The studios are smart. They saw an opportunity and exploited it. They have a generation of kids that were raised on Harry Potter books and movies that are moving into their teens and adulthood. You grab a familiar face from the Harry Potter series like Robert Pattinson, plug in a classic Hollywood gadget, and you have box office gold.

So the bottom line is to review the new Twilight movie I don’t need to see it. There is no first look necessary of a old film. I have already seen “Son of Dracula” and “Lost Boys” there is no reason to see this piece of garbage. I don’t have to sniff dog shit to know what it smells like.

twilight-new-moonNot only is this movie written for teens but it is written for mindless teen girls. One look at the promo ads for this movie and I know the only ones going to see this movie are teen girls and confirmed bachelors.

Vampires or not these guys would have gotten their manscaped asses kicked in my old neighborhood. At least the “Lost Boys” looked like they could fight. These guys look like they are sucking on something… and it isn’t necks.

So unless you are a 13 year old girl or Congressman Barney Frank save your money and time and rent the “Blade Trinity” or Robert Rodriguez’s “Dusk To Dawn”. At least in “Dusk to Dawn” you will get a Salma Hayek strip tease and a healthy does of vampire violence and gore.

Recently, he was clipped by a New York cab while trying to escape teenage girls on a film set. "But at least that's an experience," he says, "something new. "If it's just screaming - and I know this sounds so ridiculous - that gets old. "But sometimes when there's literal chaos, it's like being in a war zone, and that's kind of exciting. You're just running through the crowd of people chasing after you and no one knows what's going on."

He also laughs off internet rumors that swirl around him if he hasn't been seen out and about for a few days.

"If I'm not out, I've had a heroin overdose. It's one thing or another." The on-screen lovers pose in a passionate embrace pose on front of the December issue of the glamorous magazine. In an interview Stewart, 19, and Pattinson reveal their secret thoughts about each other.

Asked which one is the more romantic of the two, the actress says: "I have a no-bulls*** detector, so I'd have to say Rob is. "I think romance is anything honest. As long as it's honest, it's so disarming." Although the two deny an off-screen romance, they admit to liking each other. Pattinson says: "You really don't meet many people like Kristen."

Dakota Fanning: ‘New Moon Movie Sounded Like Fun’

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies DAKOTA Fanning says she took a role in New Moon because it sounded like fun and she was desperate to be a part of it.

The actress — who plays Jane in the Twilight sequel — admits she was keen to star in such a popular movie franchise.

“I read all four Twilight books in one week,” she told Teen Vogue. “It’s such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it.”

Asked how she prepared for the role, Fanning said, “I wasn’t in my mirror like Zoolander, doing the Blue Steel!

“The red contacts were enough.”

Fanning, 15, says she has no intentions of quitting Hollywood.

“I’m going to get older,” she said. “And I want to act for the rest of my life — it’s what I love — so I have to move forward with my career. The choices that I make might not always please everyone, but I have to do what I feel is appropriate and right for the time.”

“I get my rebellion out through my movies,” Fanning added. “I’m boring in that way. I enjoy having a normal life.”

Dakota says that despite her celebrity, the kids at her private school in Los Angeles have never treated her differently to anyone else.

“I started there in the ninth grade, and they were pretty receptive to me right away, ” she said. “I really wanted a home base, because I feel like no matter how old people are, they remember homecoming. They remember their senior prom. And I really wanted that.”

Vampire film will have 'Twi-hards' over the New Moon

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies THIS Thursday morning, a minute after midnight, the long wait will be over for Australian fans of the Twilight movies. At selected cinemas around the country, they will be the first to see the second instalment, New Moon, which opens this week

The four-book Twilight saga, written by Stephenie Meyer, was a worldwide best-seller, hugely popular among young readers.

Its new instalments were anticipated with an excitement not seen since the days of Harry Potter; the movie versions are generating their own brand of hype among the legion of dedicated followers, known as ''Twi-hards''.

The saga tells the story of a teenage girl, Bella (Kristen Stewart), who falls in love with a charismatic, mysterious boy, Edward (Robert Pattinson). There is an obstacle to their relationship: he's a vampire.

New Moon explores the course of their romance further: as Bella is separated from Edward, her loyalties are tested, and she discovers that there are other supernatural objects of desire out there.

A year ago, Twilight topped the Australian box office on release, and ended up taking $22 million; New Moon, with a larger budget and a saturation marketing campaign, is expected to be an even bigger hit.

Twilight was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, while New Moon's director is Chris Weitz (About A Boy, The Golden Compass). Shooting for the second film took place earlier this year under conditions of great secrecy.

But since then, there has been a steady drip-feed of publicity designed to build awareness and keep the film in the public eye. Trailers have been strategically released; Variety reported that, at the end of October, the most recent one scored a record-breaking 25 million views in a week.

The New Moon soundtrack album - with artists including Death Cab For Cutie, Thom Yorke, Muse and the Killers - was also released last month.

On the eve of the movie's release, there have been tours and appearances around the world by the film's young stars: some already well known, others contemplating the prospect of celebrity for the first time.

Stewart (who played Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room) and Pattinson (who was Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series) are the celebrity couple du jour, on whom the most feverish publicity has focused.

But Native American actor Taylor Lautner, who plays Bella's friend Jacob, a potential rival for Edward in New Moon, is not far behind. Lautner almost missed out on being cast in the second film, and had to gain 13 kilograms of muscle for the role.

Two actors, Cameron Bright and Christopher Heyerdahl, came to Australia on a promotional tour. They play new characters in the series, members of the vampire ruling elite known as the Volturi.

They are both upbeat about the film, while being well aware of the pressure of expectations, particularly from the film's key demographic. When Heyerdahl heard that he got the part, he said, the first person he rang was his 13-year-old niece.

Bright - who has just filmed scenes for the third movie, Eclipse - recalled, talking about his role, "I knew that if I got it, it would be a life changer and a career changer, as well. Right now, I'm just going with the flow. I had no idea how to prepare to cope with what's happening with this."

'NEW MOON': New 'Twilight' movie opens Nov. 20

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
The "Twilight" saga continues with heroine Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) picking up the pieces of a broken heart inflicted by Edward, the hunky vampire played by teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson.
Not to worry, waiting in the wings to help cure her ails is good friend, Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Of more concern to the franchise's legion of fans is the departure of "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, who possesses a much harder edge than her replacement, Chris Weitz, best known for helming "American Pie."
The movie doesn't open until Nov. 20, but you can see three trailers here, including one exclusively for papers that offer USA Weekend.

Twilight fans crazy for ‘New Moon’

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies For “Twilight” fans, the release of the movie “New Moon” will only whet their thirst for more vampire drama.

In “Twilight Saga: New Moon,” the love triangle deepens between Bella, a clumsy but deliciously scented human, and Jacob, a gentle boy by day who turns into a prowling werewolf by night. But then there’s Edward, a brooding vampire who glistens like diamonds in the sun and is haunting Bella.

“New Moon” is the second installment in a four-book series penned by Stephenie Meyer.

Some people said they fell in love with the series because of their fascination with vampires — and others simply fell in love with love.

Kate-lyn Dauphinas, 16, of Plainfield, said vampires are her favorite part.

She said she is most looking forward to the new animation and graphics created for the movie’s new werewolf characters, but is a little nervous to see the changes made to bring the novel to the silver screen.

“The first movie was really different from the book,” Dauphinas said. “I definitely like the books a lot better.”

Writing criticized

The writing in the books has been criticized by such people as horror-giant Stephen King, but fan Gabby Gromko, 18, of Sprague, still finds the series appealing.

“In all honesty, she’s not the best writer, but at the same time if she can engage so many people she has to have something,” Gromko said. “It’s not great literature, but it’s a great story and book.”

Sharlene Cini, 31, of North Stonington, said seeing the movie inspired her to read the books.

“It was the most descriptive, sensory book I’ve ever read,” Cini said.

Vampires were not the draw for Gromko. She said she enjoyed the fraught romance between Edward, the 104-year-old vampire who poses as a high school student, and Bella, whom he lures with his good looks and dangerous gravitas.

“When you read it, you feel like Bella,” Gromko said. “When she falls in love with Edward, you fall in love with Edward, and when she starts to like Jacob, you start to like Jacob. It’s a nice love story.”

In “New Moon,” Edward leaves Bella, who is pleading that he immortalize her with his venom so they can traverse the barriers of age and time — the stumbling block to their romance. But Edward is trying to ward off the temptation, so he flees to Italy with his vampire family.

“I’m not looking forward to it, because Edward leaves, and that’s the worst part,” Paras Pircada, 17, of Plainfield, said. “But I still think it should be good.”

Edward is played by the handsome heartthrob Robert Pattinson. Pircada and her friend, Nicole Tarranto, 17, of Plainfield, both said he was their favorite character.

Captured imagination

Vampires have captured the human imagination since Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, “Dracula” was published, Connecticut State Archaeologist Nicholas Bellatoni said.

He lectures frequently on vampires, because of his 1990 involvement in restoring a 1750 grave site in Griswold where 29 people were unearthed accidentally. One of the bodies was in a disrupted state — his femurs broken and crossed over his chest and his head was decapitated.

Upon research, Bellatoni discovered a Colonial belief in vampires thought to be the culprits of little-understood diseases such as tuberculosis.

“It’s not a new wave of interest,” said Bellatoni, who is busy lecturing during Halloween time. “It just has never ended. Of all the Halloween goblins, nothing attracts and continues to be a part of public imagination than the concept of vampires.”

But the fascination doesn’t need much history to explain the romantic allure.

“No one can love you forever but a vampire,” Gromko said.

Staff writer Emily Groves contributed to this story.

Extra Releases Another Short ‘New Moon’ Movie Clip

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Extra releases another short “Twilight Saga: New Moon” movie clip (below). However,it’s only about 9 seconds, but it’s not half bad for just 9 seconds. This clip shows Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) talking in the parking lot.

Edward wishes Bella a happy birthday. Bella tells him, “Don’t remind me.” Then Edward says, ” Your birth is definitely something to celebrate.” Then she says, “My aging’s not,” to conclude this very short clip. Oh,well it’s another little glimmer of what we’ll see in one of the most anticipated movies of this year.

Most of the cast are now on the “New Moon” promotion trail, and I’m sure there will be a lot more pictures and clips for “New Moon” showing up everywhere.

“Twilight Saga: New Moon” hits theaters on November 20,2009.

New Moon – The Twilight Saga

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Watching the movie “New Moon – The Twilight Saga” definitely gives the eyes a real treat. However, according to the series star Ashley Greene, the romantic supernatural drama is not just for girls. She told People.com that New Moon is more guy friendly as it is a lot more action packed. Ashley and co-star Kellan Lutz, who acted as the members of the Cullen family in themovie, appeared at TAO, Las Vegas to host the Yelloween party.

The actress further told about New Moon that the wolves in the movie are funny. They were a danger to the Cullen family but on the other hand, the wolves also protected the person they love so the Cullen family had to adjust with them. Though, themovie may be heavier on the action, Ashley said that fans of the series vampire-wolf love triangle won’t be disheartened.

Ashley said that Jacob comes to the rescue when Edward breaks Bella’s heart. Hence, viewers will get to see their chemistry. It keeps you a little bit more excited than the firstmovie because this one is more about heartbreak and healing. Ashley seemed proud of the new movie which was out in theaters on 20th November 2009.

Taylor Lautner has said he was glad to get rid of his long-haired wig for Twilight sequel New Moon. The 17-year-old plays werewolf Jacob Black in the hit film series and donned a long black wig for the first movie. However, once Jacob becomes a werewolf in Twilight's sequel New Moon, he has short hair.

Lautner said to Britain's Fabulous magazine: "I still have the wig [in New Moon] until Jacob cuts his long hair off when he becomes a werewolf - which was a relief because the wig was really itchy and got into my mouth when I was trying to speak!"

New Moon actress Kristen Stewart has said she doesn't want to be a celebrity she just wants to act. Kristen, 19, hit the big time after appearing in Twilight and will reprise her role for the movie's sequel New Moon, which is out in cinemas later this month.

She said to Britain's Fabulous magazine: "I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie. Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I'm an actor. It's bizarre to me that everybody's so obsessive." Kristen also said isn't fussed on shopping and likes to buy her shoes on the auction site eBay. She said: Fashion is not something I think about. I'm not a big shopper. My style is T-shirts. My favourite ones are my brother's old worn-out ones. I get my shoes on eBay."

The Humans of New Moon Speak Up!

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies We forget everyone in Twilight isn't a vampire or a werewolf

Sometimes it seems like everyone in the Twilight movies is a mythical creature, whether it's a vampire or werewolf. Except for Bella, of course. But we can't forget about all of Bella's classmates, some of whom have some pretty big roles in the movies. And now we finally get to hear some of them talk!

You know Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Justin Chon and Christian Serratos as Jessica, Mike, Eric, and Angela, respectively. They're the "humans" in the Twilight books; Bella's classmates who are clueless to the vampire world. We feel like we don't really get to hear enough from them about Twilight, so we're happy they're speaking up to the Calgary Herald!

Mike Welch describes what it was like working with Chris Weitz, "Chris was really great. Catherine [Hardwicke] was wonderful too, but they're just totally different in terms of their style and their process. And I think that as a result, you're going to end up with a film that just feels very different." Christian adds his two cents as well: "He's really awesome. He's very well-organized, well-spoken, fun and carefree - simultaneously. It's incredible."

We've always wondered if the "humans" wish they could play vampires or werewolves in the Twilight movies. The Herald asked them what they would rather play; a vampire or werewolf. Anna claims, "I would personally rather be a werewolf since they seem to get to have a lot more fun," while Michael would rather play a vampire; at least for the first 100 years. But we like Christian's answer best: "I'd play a wolf. I'd play Leah, 'cause she's sassy."

Mike also talks about the infamous movie theater scene in New Moon: "That was a lot of fun to shoot. That's one of those moments that I think pretty much anyone can relate to. I've certainly had moments in my life that are almost unbearable at the time but as you're watching it, I think the audience will find it very sad and funny." Just like we did in the book!

Justin does a good job of describing what the humans do for the New Moon storyline: "Bella's really depressed throughout the movie so we really have to bring light to it, otherwise it's just too dark the whole time." Thank goodness for that!

Sometimes we forget about the awesome cast of humans in the Twilight movies, but now we're super excited to see Jessica, Mike, Eric, and Angela in New Moon!

Jackson Rathbone: Feeling New Moon Pressure

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

Jasper and Alice

Jackson Rathbone portrays vampire Jasper Hale in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

In a recent conference call, he told reporters that he and the cast of the sequel are feeling the weight of the franchise's popularity more.

"We have a bigger budget, and we have a little bit more pressure to keep that [indie] feeling going," Rathbone said. "But the nice thing is that we are delving more into the story now of New Moon. But I will say that Twilight is my favorite, because it takes you into this realm, from reality into this fantasy reality, and it makes that fantasy more real. As the films progress, you get deeper into the mythical world that we are establishing, with the werewolves and what the actual vampire society and legacy is with the Volturi."

Jasper and Alice

As for the scene in the New Moon trailer, where Jasper gets thrown into a piano:

"I was flying and got to do some stunts on that, and that's only the beginning of it. They didn't show the entire [scene]. It's going to be a really action-packed movie. And then you have the other side of the love story. It has a lot of elements that I think the fans have been waiting to sink their teeth into."

Hidden Flaws in ‘New Moon’ Teaser Trailer Are Revealed

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
    new moon movie image

Recently Clevver TV put up this video recap of the “New Moon” teaser trailer and revealed some very interesting things that some of us might have missed while watching the trailer. Dana Ward, the host of the show starts out going over the different scenes of the trailer, starting with the passionate Bella and Edward clip.

Then she moves to the part where Edward says that he will leave her in order to protect her. She gets to the new, buff Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, and his role in the film. She said that people are saying that the vampire makeup is way better than what they used in “Twilight”. Then she revealed that people are saying that the Jacob werewolf CGI was to doglike, and explained why by quoting a description of the werewolf from the book.

At this point, it gets really interesting as she tells why this is a teaser trailer, and she starts to point out a few teases. She shows how this trailer is just a compilation of a few clips that are pieced together to make a mini movie of the film. She then pointed out that the Bella scene at the end when she looks like she’s running towards Jacob is a completely different scene and proves it by showing that she is wearing different clothes when she is talking to Laurent. It was a very interesting critique of the “New Moon” teaser trailer by Clevver TV. Good job, Dana.

Can My Kids Go to the New Moon Premiere?

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, New Moon DZILLA/bauergriffinonline.com

I would love to be able to take my daughter to the New Moon premiere. Is it possible for a regular person to get tickets?
—Shawnyray, via the Answer B!tch inbox

As people-friendly as studios would like you to think they are, they aren't—at least when it comes to ordinary people sullying their star-studded events. Anyone who has covered a film premiere knows they're really just self-congratulatory PR gatherings limited to stars, moguls, friends of said stars and moguls, and the press. A smattering of ogling fans may work their way down the red carpet via radio contests or Web giveaways, but that's about it. Any riffraff that wants to see or meet a star gets the exciting privilege of standing behind a cordon and getting barked at by security clowns.

I've received no indication from Summit Entertainment that the New Moon premiere will be any different...

Officially, the studio tells me, it has no confirmed details on that premiere. But here's how things work in general.

"The more high-profile the movie, the harder it would be for the general public—and less than A-list stars—to get tickets," says publicist and former Sony publicity associate Marc Kruskol. "There are rows set aside for the stars, the filmmakers and their guests. Studio bigwigs usually have reserved seats as well. Other invited guests include agents and other industry-related folks."

As for anyone else, Kruskol says that, "For lower-profile movies, some seats may be offered to seat-filling groups. This doesn't happen too often, but it happens."

Why the snub against fans, given that this is supposed to be all about, you know, premiering a film to the public? Space is one reason, of course, but, I am told, so is safety.

"There are several reasons for not permitting the general public to attend," says Chris Rogers, director of risk control for Aon's national entertainment group. Those reasons range from "maintenance of a 'positive vibe' during the show (e.g., no booing or catcalls) and the general comfort and safety of the stars and other above-the-line personnel."

Can't have doughy knuckle-draggers too close to the Olympians, you understand. Someone might get pawed.

So, to sum up, "A New Moon premiere ticket for fans who aren't the kid of an agent or haven't won some kind of contest is probably unlikely," says DVA Media's Ava DuVernay, who currently handles campaigns for Warner Bros. and NBC Universal. "Premieres serve two functions: press and buzz."

Notice that "thanking the fans" is not one of those two functions

New Moon Book Review | Ashley Greene Dishes New Moon Romances

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
Ashley Greene Beck Starr/Getty Images

Twilight cutie Ashley Greene hosted an event at Kitson last night benefiting the Donate My Dress Charity in WeHo.

We heart Ash, so natch we had to snatch her first and get some of those nasty little hookup questions off our chest, before going back and celebrating a great cause.

Ash dished the possibility of Robsten and...Jackley?

Filming New Moon seems different from Twilight. Is it too overwhelming now?
It's seriously so much fun still. Not too overwhelming yet, because I'm really enjoying and lucky to be doing what I'm doing. Everyone on the set is friends—we all go out together and have dinners. But yeah, it's crazy because all of a sudden everyone cares what you're wearing, what you're drinking, who you're kissing.

Who you're kissing, huh? Does that mean things are getting frisky up in Vancouver? We hear things about Rob and Kristen.
This is the thing, I look at magazines. I don't know why, but other people's lives intrigue us for some reason. Especially with this movie in particular, all of our chemistry is so great onscreen that people want it to be real offscreen, and even if it isn't, they are still going to say that it is.

Well, we also hear you might be dating your onscreen love, Jackson Rathbone, too. True?
[Grins] Um...Jackson is a sweetheart. But we're...um. No.

Well!

Ashley's publicist then came up and said that J & A "seriously" weren't dating, but we think everything was in that sexy little smirk. Dating was probably the wrong word. Maybe (and hopefully) they are just enjoying their time filming together, like so many others up there are.

Ms. Greene is quite refreshing. It's rare in this town to find a gal who is actually having fun and who is grateful for a job tons would kill for.

Can't wait to hear what happens when Rob, Kristen and Ashley go to Italy in a bit to start filming over there.

New Moon Book Review | When the Cameras Stop: Robert Pattinson Antics on New Moon Breaks

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Some are saying that Robert Pattinson is out of control while on his breaks on filming the Twilight sequel New Moon. Others claim he is a very polite young British gentleman. Which is it? It sounds like the latter. In Touch explores what goes on when the filming stops in Canada.

After putting in long days on the Vancouver, Canada, set of New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, the movie's young stars have been spotted partying all over town, the article notes. In mid-April, Kristen Stewart and her castmates hit the Backstage Lounge to hear co-star Jackson Rathbone sing with his band, 100 Monkeys. “It was a frenzy of cell phone flashing,” general manager Jeff Cawston tells In Touch. “It was really exciting. Everyone had a good time.”

***

Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, has also been a fixture at clubs in the city, the magazine adds. On April 19, Robert, Kristen and Nikki Reed went to Metropole and danced the night away. “Robert was dancing between Kristen and Nikki,” an onlooker tells In Touch. “They were all being really flirty.”

The report also adds, "Despite a rumor that Robert, 22 is secretly dating Nikki, 20, who plays his vampire sister in Twilight, an onset source says that he’s enjoying all the attention he gets from female fans, who mob him everywhere he goes." “He’s really approachable and happily poses with every girl that asks him for a photo,” the onset source adds.” He’s definitely getting the hang of this heartthrob thing.”

New Moon Book Movie Updates | Twilight phenom Robert Pattinson on New Moon: "I get to do some really creepy stuff"

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
Detail of the poster for Little Ashes.

VANCOUVER - Robert Pattinson says he gets "to do some really creepy stuff" in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, currently shooting in Vancouver.

The British heartthrob said in an interview New Moon is darker than its predecessor: "I think that a lot of people will be kind of scared by this one."

He succeeds in making his character, vampire Edward Cullen, "scary" in the new film, something he failed to do in the first film, Pattinson said in an interview with Fandango.

And while Kristen Stewart's character, Bella, is mired in a "mixture of memories and nightmares" and suffering from bizarre hallucinations in New Moon, Pattinson gets his own share of surreal activity when he plays painter Salvador Dali in his latest film, Little Ashes.

As Dali, Pattinson sports the artist's famous moustache as he becomes embroiled in a homosexual love affair with the poet Federico Garcia Lorca.

Pattinson told Fandango that Dali was very aware of his public image: "He had a fanatical control over how he was perceived."

He goes on to compare how fame has changed his own life since the Twilight cinematic bombshell. "The funny thing is that I’m always going around trying to look as inconspicuous as possible I find that people are always really disappointed when they actually recognize me," he told Fandango. "They are like ‘Oh! At first I thought you were a bum but then I realized who you were.'”

Meanwhile, Paul Morrison, the director of Little Ashes, says directing Pattinson and fellow actor Javier Beltran in erotically charged sex scenes, one of them in the nude, proved tricky.

"I think they were difficult, but I think all sex scenes are difficult, and for all actors of all ages," he told the Los Angeles Times. " ... I think Rob probably found it harder than Javier, to draw the line between performance and, ah, but that was also in the nature of the part, that Dali's sexuality was so complicated, complex and mysterious, I think even to himself, and his fear of sexuality, and if you're playing that role, that kind of rubs off on you, so I think sex and pain were so closely entwined with Dali that to play those scenes is also hard, and the triangle sex scene is an unbelievably difficult scene."

New Moon Book Summary | Twilight's Ashley Greene Talks New Moon

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies
new moon
.

Sounds like a fun movie to work on.

Twilight's Ashley Greene was out in West Hollywood last night hosting an event at Kitson. The event was to raise money for Donate My Dress Charity, a national network where girls can donate their prom and special occasion dresses to others who may need them.

Ashley Greene plays the cute vampire "sister" of Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Her character is dainty and intuitive and will likely play a bigger role in New Moon. E! Online caught up with Ashley and she dished about New Moon and romance rumors.

She talked about what it's like being on the set of New Moon. When asked if it's overwhelming compared to the filming of Twilight, Ashely said, "It's seriously so much fun still. Not too overwhelming yet, because I'm really enjoying and lucky to be doing what I'm doing. Everyone on the set is friends-we all go out together and have dinners. But yeah, it's crazy because all of a sudden everyone cares what you're wearing, what you're drinking, who you're kissing."

And how about all those romance rumors between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Is any of it true? Greene said, "This is the thing, I look at magazines. I don't know why, but other people's lives intrigue us for some reason. Especially with this movie in particular, all of our chemistry is so great onscreen that people want it to be real offscreen, and even if it isn't, they are still going to say that it is."

Ashley has romance rumors of her own. People keep asking her is her onscreen romance with Jasper Hale, played by Jackson Rathbone, has spilled over to real life. Ashley grins and says, "Um...Jackson is a sweetheart. But we're...um. No."

Ashley Greene is currently working on New Moon in Vancouver and will be heading off to Italy at the end of May to film more scenes for the movie, which hits theatres in November.

New Moon Book Movie Updates | ‘Idol’ Alumnus Justin Guarini Hoping For A Spot On ‘New Moon’ Soundtrack

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

American Idol” Season 1 runner-up Justin Guarini is hungry to get involved with “Twilight” sequel, “New Moon,” so much so that he’s submitted a track on speculation for the soundtrack.

“My fiancee [Reina] got me into the series and I fell in love with the story of Bella and Edward’s intense romance,” Justin, who still writes and records in between his duties as the co-host of “Idol Tonight,” and blogging for Fancast on his former reality show, told AccessHollywood.com.

His fascination with the series inspired him to write a song with fellow tunesmiths Shaye Smith (who co-wrote Kenny Chesney’s “That’s Why I’m Here”) and Tammy Hyler (who wrote Martina McBride’s “I Love You), titled “I Can’t Live,” inspired by the series’ main characters.

Though Justin met Shaye and Tammy during his stint on “Gone Country 2,” the song, written after the reality series finished, has a rock feel, highlighting the romance of vampire Edward and human Bella.

“With ‘Romeo and Juliet’ being my favorite story, I find a similar energy between Edward and Bella. The two of them cannot function properly without the other, in essence they can’t live without each other,” Justin said.

The trio submitted the track on spec to the producers at Summit and are hoping they’ll be picked for the soundtrack of the November-due film.

“I’m excited about the prospect of getting involved with the ‘Twilight’ sequel and hope the fans feel the same way,” he concluded.

New Moon Book Movie Updates | 'Twilight' heartthrob portrays Salvador Dali

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies Robert Pattinson is in Vancouver gearing up for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the blood-sucking sequel to Catherine Hardwicke's wildly successful teen-vampire-romance movie, "Twilight." And like love the second time around, it's not the same.

"It's strange because it already feels much more of a slick machine," Pattinson says of the film, which is being directed by Chris Weitz. "The first one we had such a young cast. Everybody was friends. It was fun. There was nothing like what it is now. Now there are people waiting outside the hotels all the time. We have security. It's crazy."

And Pattinson hasn't even started yet. He's been in Vancouver for three weeks pacing up and down his hotel room while the shoot has been under way because "I like to get some kind of momentum going in my own process, so when I actually turn up on the set I should know vaguely what I'm talking about."

Pattinson, whose almost ethereal beauty has been a key part of "Twilight's" success, is nothing if not self-deprecating. He delivers his thoughts in a stuttering, half-finished manner distantly related to another British heartthrob, Hugh Grant. He also seems to share Grant's well-known discomfort with attention. In fact, the only respite from all the screaming women recently has been movie sets.

"I feel like most of the time for the past few months I'm pretty much working every time I get out of the house, working or not, so I might as well be working," he says. "I'm always in work mode. Just in case someone comes up to you, you've got to have your game face on."

Probably none of this will change with the release of his newest film, Paul Morrison's "Little Ashes" - if for no other reason than few of his fans will see it. Shot before "Twilight" made Pattinson a tousle-haired poster boy, the film, set primarily in the 1920s, is about the relationship between Spanish poet-playwright Frederico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran) and Surrealist gadfly Salvador Dali (Pattinson). What begins as a mutual admiration society of up-and-coming artists becomes much, much more. Speculation has it that Lorca and Dali were, or almost became, lovers. The film goes there, to a degree that made Pattinson very uncomfortable until he actually saw it.

"I guess I was expecting things to be more graphic," Pattinson says. "There's so much shame involved, and the thing I was really worried about was trying to show the madness of it."

In fact, the only aspect of the film that seems to trouble him now is the not-at-all convincing aging of Dali to 30 or so. Pattinson was 21 when he made the film, and he looks it. Ironically, he faces the opposite problem with the "Twilight" series. His character, Edward, never ages, so he has to look like an undead teenager through the three sequels he's contractually obligated to appear in.

"I think all of them will be done within a year and half," he says. "The whole thing is about change and aging. So it would look ridiculous if I'm playing 17 when I look 35."

Which is another way of saying that Pattinson is unconcerned about being locked into author Stephenie Meyer's franchise in the same way that the Harry Potter cast has been in theirs. It won't last that long.

Then it will be interesting to see in which direction Pattinson decides to go. No doubt his fans would prefer him to continue looking good, but he appears to have other ideas. He talks about one part he's considering in which he speaks a foreign language he doesn't know and another in which he plays "an incredibly abusive, terrifying character." He certainly seems to like playing characters who are tormented, or at least struggling with who they are.

"I try to choose things which are something that I'm going through in my life," he says. "Jobs that will help me realize or add something about myself. I don't really think about it in terms of a career." {sbox}

Little Ashes (R) opens Friday at Bay Area theaters.

New Moon Book Movie Updates | Robert Pattinson Talks About New Moon

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies New Moon, the second installation in the Twilight saga, is currently filming in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Robert Pattinson, who plays the part of 108 year old vampire Edward Cullen, recently opened up about his thoughts on the film.

Pattinson told Twist, "The second book is my favorite."

Robert Pattinson's character, Edward, is faced with a painful break up from Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. This ends up being the most difficult scene for the 22 year old British born actor. Pattinson confessed, "The scene where Edward and Bella temporarily break up. On one hand it's completely impossible. And on the other, it sets a very different tone to the series."

New Moon brings twists and turns in Bella and Edward's relationship and the introduction of Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner, as a possible new love interest for Bella.

Despite the on-screen love triangle, Robert is confident about the movie. He said, "I think it will be good."

New Moon also stars Nikki Reed, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene. The movie is set for a November 20th US theatrical release date.

New Moon Book Movie Updates | New Moon's Emily may be in the Twilight of her anonymity

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

On a sunny patio in Vancouver's Strathcona neighbourhood, actor Tinsel Korey is taking a rare breather.

She's just wrapped a role in the Twilight sequel New Moon, the most intensely watched production ever to hit Vancouver, and her new ensemble comic drama Mothers&Daughters hits Canadian theatres Friday.

"I know this is the pinnacle of where things are about to change for me," says Korey, who hasn't worked a day job since a brief stint as a waitress when she came to Vancouver from Toronto as a teen in 2002. "It was happening gradually but I just have an internal feeling that it's about to get a little crazy."

In New Moon, Korey adds sweetness and light as Emily, part of the story's community of natives who befriend lovelorn teen Bella (Kristen Stewart) when her vampire beau (the freshly minted superstar Robert Pattinson) leaves town. Some of those natives have another side as werewolves, and human Emily bears the scars from where her werewolf boyfriend once got too close.

The fan frenzy around all things Twilight has Korey lying low.

"I wasn't even allowed to say I was in it for months," she says. As well, Korey has stayed away from the Internet fan chatter.

"My agent is like, 'You're banned from the Internet, you're not allowed to Google yourself, because people can be really mean.'"

In the ultra low-budget Mothers&Daughters, a sleeper hit on the festival circuit, Korey teamed up with director Carl Bessai and a group of Vancouver actors that included Tantoo Cardinal, Babz Chula, Gabrielle Rose and Camille Sullivan for three interconnected stories. Cast and director spent several months workshopping an outline that they fleshed out with improv work during filming just over a year ago.

Korey played a young professional woman cut off from her native heritage, who hires a painting contractor (Cardinal). While the movie's other two stories are about literal mothers and daughters, theirs is more ambiguous.

"These two characters had lost something in their lives and they found it in each other by the end, which is something that I can relate to," says Korey, who was adopted as an infant and grew up in a Jewish neighbourhood in Toronto.

"Tantoo and I would sit in the room, she'd tell her story, I'd tell a bit of mine. Every time we'd get a little bit more and Carl would write it down, document, film it. By the end of it, we had these solid characters who were half intertwined with our own lives."

Korey had done commercials in Toronto and came to B.C. looking for more rewarding work.

Bessai gave her a small role as a rape victim opposite Callum Keith Rennie in the 2006 drama Unnatural and Accidental, based on the string of alcohol-related Downtown Eastside murders of mostly native women.

"It was one of her first gigs and it was harrowing," the director recalls. "She was terrified and Callum is so method, so intense. It was one of those moments where you watch a young actor and you think, 'This will either really give them the power to act or it will just alienate them.'"

Korey has also remained friends with co-star Cardinal (whose Dances With Wolves co-star Graham Greene coincidentally has a role in New Moon).

"Tantoo is an icon," says Korey. "When she talks to me normally, I'm still (whispers) 'Tantoo Cardinal is talking to me, she's my buddy.' Tantoo said something interesting, that as native people we're adopting each other throughout our lives."

On this day in Strathcona, she's rejoined director Bessai for a day and a half's work on a cameo role in Fathers&Sons, a companion piece to the earlier movie. Korey is in an army-green tank top, jeans and camouflage jacket for a story featuring Gordon Tootoosis and Lorne Cardinal as a politically at-odds father and son.

"I'm playing a rebel in this, one of Lorne Cardinal's cronies -- his character would have a fist in the air," Korey says. "The character is not me, not the way I would deal with things, but it's great to do improv."

New Moon Book Movie Updates | 'Eclipse' Director David Slade Bashed 'Twilight'

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

Back in November, Slade wrote on Twitter that he wouldn't even see the movie at gunpoint.

Long before David Slade had been plucked from the long list of directors to helm "Eclipse," the third movie in the "Twilight" franchise, the "30 Days of Night" director apparently didn't have the fuzziest feelings about the teen vampire movie (which was just nominated for seven MTV Movie Awards.)

Slade's Twitter page, which has now been deleted, once contained some biting remarks about "Twilight," according to Slashfilm.com. And back in November, when Slade was on the Washington, D.C., radio station WJFK's BDK Movie Show, he discussed the Twitter post.

"So, yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see, and we'd seen all the good ones," Slade recalled. "And ... having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed-hormone teen-vampire movie, we really weren't interested in seeing 'Twilight,' but a lot of people said, 'Let's go.' "

In response to his friends' overwhelming desire to see Bella and Edward fall in love on the big screen, Slade said he Tweeted: " 'Twilight' drunk? No, not even drunk. 'Twilight' on acid? No, not even on acid. 'Twilight' at gunpoint? Just shoot me.'

"[That's like] a poem in a way," he said about the post. "At this point, it excites me, even though people think I'm a really violent and unpleasant person, I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen 'Twilight.' "

Now that Slade has signed on to adapt the third installment of Stephenie Meyer's series, he'll finally have to tap into that "romantic violent side" — presumably not at gunpoint.

Check out everything we've got on "Twilight" and "New Moon."
